Xilinx released pessimistic financial forecast, reflecting the current situation of US manufacturers
Xilinx, the largest FPGA company, released its financial forecast. For the third fiscal quarter, Xilinx expects revenue to be between $710-740 million, far lower than the previous forecast of $844.9 million. It expects revenue to be between $3.21-3.28 billion in 2020 (2019.3-2020.3), also lower than the expected $3.4 billion. Looking back on the performance of Xilinx in recent years, it has basically maintained quarterly growth since 2017. Looking back at the latest speculation of the company, Q3 fiscal quarter can still maintain year-on-year growth if it is predicted by the revenue of $844.9 million, while the latest forecast revenue is directly reduced to $710-740 million, and there will be a year-on-year decline of 7.5% according to the upper limit.
According to the forecast of the whole fiscal year, the total revenue of US $3.2 billion has maintained the growth trend, but it is also lower than the previous forecast, and even lower than the growth level of Xilinx from 2018 to 2019. Of course, sarinx is in a better position than Ti, which has been in a downturn for a year. For this financial forecast, sarinx said it took into account the impact of Huawei's ban. At present, Xilinx has partially restored its supply to Huawei, but has not been allowed to sell more products to it. In the future, it is not known whether Huawei's ban can be completely lifted, but it is certain that Huawei's own "de beautification" process has begun.
